Oh, tiresome worm with body bloat
What manners you choose to boast
While I, your lover, most devote
Have placed my hands about your throat
Will praise your passing with this toast

And the cycle continues on with our protagonist as she wrestles with her conscience. What is she to do about what she believes to be a dead woman that only she knows about?
Cut, torn broken on limb
I ache as he bleeds.
Never, ever wanting him
To feel his life brim
Captive to my needs.

The dog lies sleeping
Curled up on his master’s lap
Paws twitch in spasm
As the rabbit bleeds

Ash mantle
Shadow shroud
Don’t take for GRANTed what you have.
As fireflies weep

— Read on www.christinasng.com/
There are a number of contemporary authors who are so good – they just deserve to be recognized and appreciated. Christina Sng is one such artist. Her poetry is truly wonderful – dark, sinuous and scary – a rare combination of fright and frisson that delights in its bleak beauty.
