Was able to place two pieces today of my short fiction. My horror story, “Pride & Joy” and my new fantasy piece “In the End.” Online literary journals and pubs have been very kind to me in the last few months ratcheting up my reads and providing me with a nice 3rd party bump to my work. #thankful

riding hood
is aware
of him
her knife
needs
to bleed
The Fae are people most fine
Beware their food and their wine
They’ll bewitch you with sin
Draw your soul deep within
As you pass over to the Divine
Mash up the bones and the feet
Goblins enjoy their sweet meat
Pluck the eyes from the head
Don’t worry if they’re dead
The spoils will all taste just as sweet
As swans they glide ‘cross the lagoon
Boats kissed by silver summer moon
Silent vigil, candle lit
Ephemeral whisps who sit
As parishioners solemnly paired
Polling their vessels to the dockside stairs
Which reach to shore in weathered step
Their stone clad harbor duly met
Fae processional in gossamer gown
Their fellowship keen to climb the mound
And raise themselves to honor all
Their dead remembered in their fall
Celebrated vaunted candled bliss
Duly honored with actions this
